Georges rossi
Born in Lyon in May 1957, Georges Rossi, grew up like a city tarzan in the park of the golden head, his head full of images of Fredérick Rossif, and Dactary; in the back of the garden, he imagines a jungle in which he becomes Robinson Crusoe.
One bluesy night, he opens an animal art book by Robert Bateman, he is fascinated, it is the revelation: "I was turning the pages of the book by this painter whom I had never heard of before, and I thought: this is what I want to do. He starts painting again and he will never stop again. He immortalizes animals on the canvas and finds his child's soul. His hand will seek the ultimate truth and perfection to translate the emotions, sensitivity and vulnerability of these animals repelled by mechanical civilization. He travels through animal parks, takes a marveling look at the wild life that surrounds him, makes several trips to Africa, he observes and photographs wildlife in their natural environment to copy the exactitude of a form, of a movement, until the ultimate expression of life.
