Graduated from an audiovisual technician's license, Antoine Janot continued his studies within the cinema master's at the Sorbonne. After the co-production of a self-produced documentary feature (Le sleep de la crowd, 2013) and some editing experiences, he directed several experimental short films, including
The Fog Beings (2016), selected in various festivals around the world and prize for Best Experimental Film at the Bucharest Short Film Festival, as well as Lullaby for 17 skyscrapers, 192 buildings and 13,851 inhabitants (2016), broadcast on France 3.
Multidisciplinary and curious about everything, he also expresses himself through painting, photography and writing, publishing an essay entitled Has the cinema become silent? (éd. l'Harmattan, 2014), novels (Le Goûteur, éd. Abatos, 2016 and Le croque-neige, éd. l'Harmattan, 2017) as well as collections of poems (Poetry of street & interior, ed. Maïa, 2020 and Short Histories, ed. The Involved, 2017). He is also the co-founder of two associations: Les Hôtels Solidaires which redistributes foodstuffs to the most disadvantaged, and which was awarded in 2020 during the Social and Solidarity Economy trophies; as well as the association NOW whose goal is to support oppressed minorities around the world.
Painting since childhood, working mainly with watercolor and pure pigment, Antoine Janot has participated in several group exhibitions, including Points de Départ at the Galerie de La Reine Blanche (Paris) in 2019, What's What and The thought which shouted at the Galerie La Passerelle (Paris) in 2018.
