Biography

The plastic water bottle. An everyday object that has become too ordinary. Serge Krewiss invents them extraordinary destinies. On the canvas, the bottles become characters of Leonardo da Vinci or Delacroix.

Water, a fragile source of life, and plastic is growing exponentially. The container, destroyer of the content when it seems to preserve it. Serge Krewiss digs into this inexhaustible and ambivalent theme. The subject alone requires mastery of light, transparency and drawing. The artist, beyond the subject, seeks light.

Serge Krewiss was born in 1971. He lives and works in Paris. He studied Fine Arts and Art History at La Sorbonne.

Recent award: Silver medal 2020 at the Salon des Artistes Français, Grand Palais, Paris.
