Biography
Born in Ãœberlingen in Germany, Michel Costiou lives and works in Paris.
From the age of 13 he took drawing and painting lessons at the School of Arts in Tarbes (65)
From 1963-70 he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Toulouse (31),
then, at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Atelier Supérieur de Peinture Chapelain Midy
He will also study at the Ecole Estienne in Paris and will follow training in the BAUHAUS movement.
From 1974-1981 - Principal Professor of art drawing and letter drawing for the preparation for the Competitions of the Higher Schools of Arts.
Experimentation and creation of the first movement drawing workshop with musicians, dancers, acrobats, mimes. (Since practiced in all the workshops and Schools of Arts). - Academy of Art Roederer, Paris.
Professor of movement drawing at the Schools of Art in Paris: EFFET and EMSAT.
1977- 2014 - Professor of Plastic Arts - City of Garches - Rueil Malmaison - Maurepas –Magny-les-Hameaux.
He runs training courses for 45 years for professional and amateur artists on the themes: body, landscape, object, material, perspective, volume, portrait, movement… ..
