Biography
Jérôme DESANTI,
Contemporary painter born in 1969 in Marseille, I live today in the Vaucluse.
My work (oil paintings on canvas) is inspired by primary art, urban art, pop art but also by impressionism.
I had the chance to live in the Pacific (New Caledonia) for 4 years and thus to know the rich Oceanian culture. My painting is impregnated with the masks and statues of Vanuatu and Papua.
I am a colorist painter who seeks harmony through the use of bright, bold, and complementary colors. Some geometric shapes let appear or suggest human faces, characters or animals.
