Biography

I draw from a young age, it was my favorite hobby.

When I was a teenager I bought oil paints, brushes and a few books "learn oil painting, learn to paint still lifes ...." and I smeared my first canvases.

Not having done my schooling in the artistic field "to my great despair", I decided to join a workshop "L'Atelier d'Art de Nargis" in order to learn differently and from professional artists: Mr. Michel Merlin and Mrs. Claude Boulanger, the founders and teachers of this workshop. They taught students all the techniques: oil, watercolor, pastel, Indian ink, acrylic ...

This experience enriched my work and allowed me to perfect the essential bases to evolve.

I particularly like oil, it can be worked and reworked without limit. Its finesse and radiance combine perfectly with what I like to reproduce (still lifes, flowers, landscapes, animals ...)

Recently I tried my hand at acrylic and I also appreciate this technique.

I am an unconditional fan of figurative art, I like to paint what surrounds us, what speaks to us all, what makes our "LIFE"

Painting is essential for me, it is a pleasure, a relaxation, a total appeasement. When I am on a canvas I find it very difficult to stop, the more it evolves the more I want to be at the end of the project.

A few years ago I met Sergei Toutounov during one of his exhibitions. I showed him a photo, of a reproduction I made of one of his works (Bouquet of Lilacs), he congratulated me and encouraged me, it was a strong and very encouraging moment for me.
