Biography
My first connection with images comes from the comic strip that I discovered very early in the early 1970s. I follow literary and artistic studies which obviously make me discover other forms of expression. Francis Bacon, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and Edward Hopper become my favorite painters. I will later discover "magical realism", "brut art", "naive art" ...
My life journey has made me a freelance advertising graphic designer. About ten years ago, I started to create intentionally meaningless drawings, in black felt, in automatic mode. Then I scan them and, using Illustrator and Photoshop software, I create “chimerical" compositions by assembling my drawings without defining any combinations or concepts a priori.
