Van Gogh's shoes are unique. The converses of IsaK are plural. It is no longer a question of evoking a peasant world but an urban world. IsaK does not paint rusticity but nomadic agility. The spectator is invited to discover an icon of the consumer society represented in all its forms, a true intergenerational object.
It should be noted that IsaK humanizes the representation she gives of the converses. Better, it plunges them into a wonderful world close to childhood: some are happy, others seem sulky. In fact, she's the toy's story. The shoe is a pretext for a return to the wonderful and magical childhood. This brings us back to the fairy tale universe (All stars of seven leagues).
