Biography
Alexandre Renoir comes from a family with a rich tradition in the arts. He is the great-grandson of the master Impressionist painter, Pierre-August Renoir, as well as the grandson and grandnephew of well- known filmmakers Claude Renoir, Pierre Renoir and Jean Renoir. Alexandre, who now resides in Southern California, paints with palette knives, some of which he custom-creates for his own use. His artwork is inspired by nature, is vividly colored, and thickly textured resulting in bright yet peaceful images.
