Nicolas Briere

Born June 20, 1986 in Toulouse, I draw from an early age. When I was a teenager, caught up in the frescoes of the 4 corners of the pink city, I flirt with street-art. These beginnings will be a real artistic engine on the way to the alliance "materials and colors".

A graduate of the Compagnons du Devoir, I created a painter-coachbuilder's workshop a few kilometers from Toulouse. The airbrush is becoming one of my favorite tools. I transform, customize, breathe a second life into the object, play with my art with the material, between steel, resin and wood. Seven years go by and color wins the duel over time: driven by the necessary need to create, to transpose my inspirations from this new world, I leave pink for blue and the horizon. There, in my Workshop, I arm myself with knives, brushes, sponges facing the canvas. I come into harmony with the elements around me and my acrylic palette grows larger as the days go by. I put the airbrush away, finally gives my hands the contact with the paint that becomes revealing of my emotions, of what I hear and what I see. My art is generous and aims to be humanist, it marks the present moment, the spontaneity of feelings.

"Beauté sur Le Monde" series: This series is distinguished by the background structure of the canvases blending with the faces or the body, thus creating a form of timelessness. An almost mineral relief linked to the four elements, returns the quintessence of the life present in each of us. The energy of the Woman is at the center of my current work. I capture their souls, their lights that illuminate the world into the future.
