Biography
René Oghia was born in Cairo (Egypt).
Leaving the National School of Applied Arts in Paris, he discovered a passion for illustration. Then his works will be more and more impregnated by his taste for classical architecture and landscape.
In the 1970s the Galerie de la Baume invited him to present his works
in the company of other great artists and this is the beginning of an adventure that will lead him to exhibit regularly as a watercolourist in various salons.
He collaborated with Éditions Équinoxe for his famous watercolor sketchbooks on Paris and Éditions du Cherche-Midi asked him to produce a book on Chartres.
