Stephane Richard, alias STEPK, (1971 - 2014) .

Painter and sculptor StepK presents himself as a self-taught artist, passionate about drawing since childhood, it is quite naturally that he will aim for an artistic career. 

It is in the painting of the 16th century that Stepk will draw his inspiration, revisiting in his own way the figure of Christ or religious icons such as angels, Pietas or even vanitas. StepK will be recognized with his "Angel Mouths" which will become his trademark. His paintings are part of the neo-expressionist current, which can be described as violent or even "tortured" they are in reality the means for the artist to transmit a humanist message, he will define his work as being committed, citizen and crossed through social debates.
