Biography
My name is Arielle Alvarez and I sign my paintings under the name of Aya. Born in 1966, I grew up and live in the Paris region where I nourish my passion for the arts and people.
Painter, coach and therapist, I like to shed light, to give binding, material, to create and express through shapes and colors what is in each of us and reveals itself to the other.
Self-taught, I am passionate about artistic activities. I practiced dance for 13 years. Painting and drawing also presented themselves to me at a very young age, as a powerful means of escape and free expression.
Over the years, I have deepened my artistic practice, in parallel with my activity as a professional coach. Today I combine these two activities in the present.
I paint with my sensitivity, my energy and the vibrations to which I associate shapes and colors, a setting in motion, letting myself be carried away by my intuition to revisit what surrounds me.
I experiment with different mixed techniques combining acrylic paint, poscas, watercolor, Indian ink, collage, material, relief and geometry, to create a universe that is both abstract, figurative and contemporary.
It is with great humility that I present myself to you. Artist, I am at heart. I like to arouse emotion, vibration, open the imagination, bring a new perspective and create well-being by sharing my creations.
