Grigol Malania

Grigol Malania is a Georgian artist born in Tbilisi in 1970 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. After graduating from high school, he entered the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. In 1994, while temporarily living in Australia, he participated in his first group exhibition in Sydney. After returning home, he continued to work in various fields of art and music. His works have been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions. Grigol or Gigi Malania's works are primarily realistic figurative paintings with surrealist elements, in which the artist strives to convey his inner experiences and feelings. His paintings are held in private collections and at the Georgian Museum of Cultural History.
