Vika is an Israeli artist originally from Russia born in 1987. In 2013 she graduated with a B.A degree in Film Studies & Animation Production from Sapir College. Following her graduation, she moved to Tel Aviv and worked as a freelance animation designer for a boutique studio, while experimenting with a variety of plastic arts practices in her free time.
Her drive to create art and engage with hands-on artistic practices led her to quit her animation job and embark on an exploratory journey with different artistic mediums, ideas, and material surfaces to work with. The realization that every single place, experience, and conversation, can spark the inspiration for a new creation, pushes her to observe people and situations differently, and travel around the world while creating the art you see here.
