Biography
Melkio was born in Genoa, Italy in 1984 and has always drawn. What this "always" means is Melkio himself who explains it: "as far back as I can remember, but I always threw everything away... I made the drawing, then at the trash can. For me it was so natural that it didn't make sense to keep them".
In 2020, during confinement, his artistic career began. His artistic career has developed in symbiosis with an imaginary, which one could define as constantly expanding.
His projects, characters and works communicate through his “narrative” universe.
The works are designed to emphasize the overall form, in the service of a strongly surreal, romantic and hyper-unrealistic language.
