A 33-year-old Italian artist, Davide Martinazzo was born and lives in Montebelluna, a small town near Treviso. Its first inspiration finds its foundation in the prejudiced world of childhood. The complex forms of the adult world thus tend to become simpler. Davide voluntarily leads us into the children's free play space in which meanings and relevance are put aside in order to give birth to the wonder, the enchantment of discovery. The artist appeals to our inner child. He pushes us to go out to meet the world, perceiving forms and names which are not considered static and regulatory. We are free to see words appear among his letters and to interpret his works. Lettering is omnipresent on all of his artistic creations and sometimes results in universal symbols. The artist manipulates the ancient Greek alphabet, our Latin alphabet, and uses symbols known to all. His visual research is based on the creation of a universe apart, ethereal and poetic. His work is rich in evocations of feelings, of connotations that are familiar to us. Davide considers human feelings to be the only experience common to all individuals. Regardless of our origins, our culture, our language, our age ... the symbols he uses echo in each of us. His Art is accessible to all.
