Biography
Japanese artist born in 1957 in Hiroshima, Koji Nishimi lives and works in Paris. Koji's pictorial work begins with a revelation, that of the walls of Lascaux.
Since then, he has never ceased to model a support which allows him to regain the adhesion of the pigment to the rock. His paintings are timeless, abysmal and cosmic. They are a trace of the past in the future. A pictorial universe where time slides, caressing our memories, our dreams and our imagination. Northern lights and constellations come alive on a rough canvas steeped in celestial colors.
