Biography

Nadim Karam (born in 1957 in Senegal) is a Lebanese multidisciplinary artist and architect based in Beirut. He studied architecture at the American University of Beirut, then pursued postgraduate studies in Japan, where he developed a keen interest in urban space and philosophy.


He is renowned for his ability to combine art, architecture, and public installations to create playful and internationally acclaimed urban projects. Through his studio, Atelier Hapsitus (founded in 1996), he designs visionary sculptures, installations, and urban concepts that explore themes of memory, identity, and the collective imagination.



His work is characterized by a dreamlike and narrative approach, aiming to "breathe dreams into cities" through public art and experimental architecture.
