Biography

Ghizlane Sahli, Moroccan artist, explores the transformation of matter, exults it and gives it meaning. In her artistic approach, she studies the transition from one state to another, the tiny interval between before and after, the bridge that connects matter to spirit, order to chaos, accumulation to the dispersion.

Passionate about embroidery, fabrics and the artisanal methods of producing them, she develops “alveoli”: three-dimensional embroideries made from the bottoms of plastic bottles, covered with silk threads. She imagines poetic and dreamlike worlds where she can experiment and create links between her three passions: space and volumes, from her training as an architect, silk thread, from her immersion in the world of embroidery. and the environment, stemming from his questions about sustainable development and the future of the planet.
