Biography
Alimi is a contemporary artist from Lagos city with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ilorin University, Nigeria. He has developed his knowledge of art by undergoing various art workshops all over the world.
Alimi works on traditional themes but with a contemporary expression, in profusion of rich texture and often-uncommon sculptural finish. He uses interesting textures to evoke certain moods or recall psychological associations. He is mostly interested in representing the life of African women and discussing global migration issues. His work is currently exhibited worldwide.
