Chinonso Ofodile

Chinonso Ofodile is a Nigerian visual artist based in Ibadan whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, murals, furniture making, and an enduring interest in fashion and craft. Born in Southeastern Nigeria, he began drawing at nine, inspired by cartoons, comics, and anime. At twelve, he began transitioning toward realism, independently studying anatomy, perspective, light, shading, and colour through sustained practice. His early engagement with drawing continues to inform his approach to the human figure and visual storytelling. 

Alongside painting, Ofodile explores material, form, and design through craft and furniture making, while his interest in fashion further expands his understanding of identity, aesthetics, and visual expression.
