Biography
Born in Manila in 1981, Maria Taniguchi is a Filipina visual artist, whose work spans a broad selection of disciplines including painting, video, sculpture, pottery, printmaking, drawing, and writing. Her work distinctly focuses on the concepts of construction, composition, and representation, with a notable emphasis on her native Philippines.
The artist graduated with a BFA in Sculpture from College of Fine Arts at The University of the Philippines. Since then, her work has been exhibited across Asia and Europe, at both solo and group showcases.
