Biography

From a young age, Krystyna revealed a talent and passion for drawing and painting. She studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the Faculty of Painting under Professor Pękalski. The outbreak of the war disrupted her regular studies. She continued her studies under the supervision of a supervisor for artists. After 1945, she joined the first post-war group of visual artists, "WARSZAWA," which organized the first art exhibitions in the ruined city.

Krystyna Cękalska's paintings are close to the culture of Polish color, drawing on naive art and folk art.

Her paintings are found in numerous museums and other collections.
