Biography
A modern contemporary painter, the colourful artistic works of Maciej Cie?la vary between modern expressionism and abstraction. He finds his inspiration to create in nature, folklore, and social subjects.
Maciej: "Through an individual, uncensored technique, painting is the ability to communicate and share an artist's inner world."
While going through art school, Maciej was diagnosed with hereditary Stargardt's disease. Facing impaired eyesight, Maciej stayed true to his calling and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc?aw with an MA degree in painting and sculpture. Maciej studied under the supervision of Piotr B?a?ejewski, a well-known watercolour painter and architect from Szczecin.
Between 2013 and 2016 Maciej developed his characteristic style, which comprises of modern expressionism, neo-fauvism, symbolism, and abstraction. His work shown in a variety of galleries in Warsaw (Poland) and Dresden (Germany), Maciej's talent is recognized by an increasing number of art professionals.
