Presentation

Martta Weg (born in 1978) is a Polish artist, she went to a private drawing and painting school and the visual arts high school in Lodz. Later on, she graduated with honors from the European Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. She obtained a second diploma in graphic arts workshop and drawing. The artist works and lives in Warsaw.

Her paintings celebrate colors diffused by touches and some lyricism. A bouquet of colors make up true symphony. About the artist, Katarzyna Napiórkowska highlights the paintings which seem "ephemeral, but constant rules prevail...one can feel that it's a world where ideas get the upper hand over literal aspects. These immaterial patterns shout out sensuality, dispersal and change in power. She fascinates constantly". Poetry predominates or rather fairy tales do.

She has been awarded several prizes especially the one of the President of the Polish Republic for the Fine Arts diploma, the prize of the president of Warsaw, for the best former student of schools in Warsaw. She received two artistic grants from the Ministry of Education. Martta Weg did her first exhibition under the distinguished patronage of Bourg la Reine's mayor and Ambassador of Poland. She also exhibits in Great Britain and Holland.
