Aurora Kiraly

Aurora Király (b. 1971) has played from early on in her career a crucial role in the acknowledgement of Romanian women artists and has established herself as one of the most important artists in Romania. Working with photography, textile art and installation, her most recent works question the sources or artistic inspiration and the spaces of creation seen through a feminist lens. 

In her latest series on which she worked during the spring lockdown, Soft Drawings, the artist collates images of depression,isolation and anxiety into patterns of house dresses and soft, felt materials in the search for balance.
