Biography
Now based in New York City, Sanya Kantarovsky is a Russian multi-media artist. Kantarovsky has been recognised for both his art, and his commitment to written and curatorial projects since the beginning of his career. Having trained at the Rhode Island School of Design, the artist has developed a pictorial style which calls into question the nature of the human psyche.
Kantarovsky recently presented solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland (2018) and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, Italy (2017-2018). Elsewhere, the artist's work belongs to several prestigious museum collections, such as the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Tate Modern, London; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
