PAinter and photographer Valentin Samarine was born in 1928 in Sankt Petersburg. In the 1960s he became known for his abstract paintings, and in the 1970s - for his photographic work.
His creative prpcess relies on spotnateous creation. His puzzling art is close to abstract expressionism in his paintings as well as in his photographs of nudes. His unique body of work is always changing, and extremely modern.
