Soly Cissé was born in 1969 in Dakar, Senegal, where he still lives and works today.
A true phenomenon of contemporary art, Soly Cissé has been recognized for the last few years as one of the rising stars of his generation.
He was selected at the Sao Paulo Biennial (Brazil) in 1998, at the Dakar Biennial, and then to the Havana Biennial in 2000.
