Darina Szöllösiová

Darina Szöllösiová is a renowned stained glass artist and glassmaker.

A part of my work involves creating custom stained glass pieces. I design my own artistic concepts, but I have also worked based on designs by well-known visual artists such as Miroslav Cipár or Peter Čambál. When I started out, my dream was to create windows for a church. Today, I have completed stained glass works for six churches and two funeral homes.

The greatest challenge for me was the project at the castle in Pezinok, Slovakia, where I restored and created replicas of original stained glass windows. For the hotel section, I made new stained glass for the windows, doors, and furniture; for the winery and chapel, I created stained glass based on the designs of Miroslav Cipár. The entire project took me a year and a half.
