Marina Skromova

Marina Skromova is a contemporary artist. A member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia since 2020. She has participated in exhibitions and international art competitions in Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and the Czech Republic.

Marina Skromova works primarily in oil and acrylic, using a palette knife to build highly textured, dimensional surfaces. Impasto is central to her visual language: paint shifts from fine details to dense sculptural marks, giving the image an almost tactile presence and allowing light to change across its surface.

Rather than working within a single genre, Marina Skromova approaches painting through material, color, and experimentation. Her practice is driven by a desire to communicate joy and emotional energy. Saturated color, expressive texture, and a sense of movement give her paintings an intentionally optimistic character.

Since 2024, Marina Skromova has increasingly focused on commissioned works and projects created directly for business and residential interiors, continuing to explore how tactile painting can shape the atmosphere and emotional experience of a space.
