Yun Hee Lee is a South Korean artist, born in 1987, she lives and works in Seoul.
She considers herself to be a collector of stories, particularly those pertaining to people's desires, fears and anxieties but also treatment and remedy that they try to look for and eventually do find. It's exactly this procedure of treatment which is of interest to her and she materializes this through her own hands by plunging them into clay.
She assembles layers of articles and various formats but also patterns and colors to create delicate and refined work, whose characteristics become her trademark.
A resident artist at Clayarch Gimhae Museum, she was also selected as one of the twenty "Hot Rookies" artists at the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennial.
