Miguel Núñez (Lugo, 1964)
He began his interest in art 27 years ago, as a creator, sculpting in granite as well as wood.
He self-taught both in painting and sculpture.
He was always attracted to the idea of finding a successful mix between a sculpture and a painting; between a painting and a more three-dimensional work. Exploring this possibility, he experimented with the idea of processing a metal to transform it into a credible support for a painting. In this regard, zinc seemed interesting to me because of its malleability, durability and relative lightness.
And associated with this idea is also the processing of acrylic putties with fiberglass on phenolic plywood, as a base for painting with synthetic enamels.
