Joan Aguiló

Formed in illustration at the School of Design of the Balearic Islands and a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, he completed his training in Mexico City and Berlin. During his stay in the German capital he started in Urban Art. Since then he appropriates the public space where he develops his work.

With his pieces we discover anonymous people whom the artist steals a moment from his daily life. From the poetic, his work tries to represent the local life, the character and the essence of the society where it intervenes. His works are framed within street art, making pieces that range from small format to large-scale muralism.

We can find his works in Mallorca, Barcelona, Madrid, Estocolm, Copenhagen, London, Berlin, Lübeck, Salamanca or Ripol, among other locations. And he has worked for galleries such as Galeria Marimon, Galeria Vanrell, Ahoy Gallery, Gallery Brondo Architect or Museu d'Art Contemporani Can Planes. Creator and artistic director of the Saladina Ar Fest (festival of urban art in Can Picafort), currently resides in Palma de Mallorca.
