Biography
Ricardo L. Santamaria (1920- 2013) is a sculptor on wood born in Zaragoza, Spain. Jean Dubuffet considered him as an '"Art Brut" artist. He shows his art with the "Grupo Zaragoza" in Zaragoza Palace in 1961. In 1962, he wins the Pablo Gargallo Sculpture Prize. Pablo Gargallo was born in Zaragoza, where he has a museum. He settles rue de Bièvre in Paris in 1967 and devotes his life to sculpture. In 1981, he moves to Prayssac (Lot). 1997 Solo Show Pablo Gargallo Museum Zaragoza, Spain. 2004 Solo Show "Ricardo Santamaria - La expressión de la libertad (1947-2004)" Sástago Palace, Provincia de Zaragoza, Spain.
