Biography

Peshala is an emerging artist who graduated in 2019, from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Sri Lanka.

Her paintings are a representation of the simplicity and beauty that she finds in nature Peshala's spiritual and creative development flows, and develops through nature. The emotional connection she forms with nature effortlessly transforms onto the canvas and the transference of energy, tension and movement of paint and the free-flowing yet refined brush strokes are a deeply personal expression and is her mode of communication as an artist.

Her artistic expression has grown into a distinct language woven onto a surface of textural effects through a harmonious colour palette.

Through her beautiful petals and soft florals, she expresses the human vulnerability of which love is its ultimate manifestation. Peshala believes her works channel the healing energy of love, beauty, kindness, compassion and joy, fostering a connection to the soul and, ultimately, the creator.
