Mike Blomqvist

Mike Blomqvist unites street art, pop culture and colourful attitude in original works where graffiti meets fine art in an urban idiom. Raised in Tierp north of Stockholm, he was drawn early to the creative energy of the streets and has for more than 25 years been an active part of the Stockholm graffiti scene, where he was long known only by his tag name Haze1. Today he brings the pulse of graffiti onto canvas, skateboards, cardboard, wood and metal, using spray paint, acrylic, ink and mixed media. The result is equal parts art and cult: works that radiate energy, humour, nostalgia and a clear urban beat. Galleri Scandinavia shows a curated selection of his most iconic original works. Works are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity from Galleri Scandinavia, Gothenburg, a family-run gallery established in 1972.
