Biography

Charles Parisod (1891-1943) was a Swiss painter active during the first half of the 20th century, primarily known for his landscapes of the Lake Geneva region and the Alps of the canton of Vaud. His work frequently depicts the tranquil shores of Lake Geneva, the vineyards and villages of Lavaux, as well as the surrounding mountain ranges, notably the Diablerets. Many of his compositions capture the atmospheric light, the serene waters, and the characteristic architecture of the region, demonstrating a deep connection to the Swiss landscape.


A significant portion of his known output dates from the 1920s and early 1930s, with many works signed and dated to this period.
