Barbara Guidetti

Born in Basel, Barbara graduated from HEAD (ESAV), Geneva, held group and solo exhibitions in Switzerland and France before embarking on a long journey through Africa, Asia and Europe.

A pivotal experience for her artistic and personal development. Her works are featured in several private collections. She then deepened her research through philosophy, Jungian psychotherapy, and meditation.

Returning to Switzerland in 2011, she continues a practice that combines artistic work, inner exploration, and teaching meditation. Influenced by Kiefer, Richter, Tàpies, and American abstract expressionism, post-minimalism, and arte povera, her painting is rooted in a performative process akin to ritual.

Her work unfolds like an act, where gesture and materials translate an energy in transformation. Her works allow rhythms and tensions to emerge in a dynamic that fully engages the body and consciousness.
