Lorant was born in Montreal, Canada in 1958. Today he lives and works in Château-d'Oex in Switzerland. Trained initially in interior architecture and active in the world of architecture and design, in Europe, Canada and the United States for many years, where he rubbed shoulders with talented artists and craftsmen in the context of various projects. scope, drawing and projecting on different concepts always in search of the effective image, vehicle of the idea, of the common thread. The creative aspect of the profession stirs his passion for oil painting, which he has practiced since adolescence and which, over time, becomes for him the ideal medium to express his interpretations of current subjects on canvas or paper. . Having no attachment to any art school whatsoever, being artistically self-taught, he learned, at the start of his career, in etching at Atelier Graff in Montreal.
