Biography

Jacques Meystre is a self-taught, Swiss photographer, born in 1964 in Yverdon-les-Bains. He grew up in a small village called Romairon in the French speaking part of Switzerland and felt one with nature. He did theater studies in Lausanne and then settled down in Paris. He began photography while he was working as an actor.

In 2005, he settled down in Greece so that he could dedicate himself completely to photography. He divides his time between Naxos and Amorgos island in the Cyclades.

Fauna and Flora are his favorite subjects and his wanderings guide his inspiration and inspire his themes. He tries to reveal the beauty of the nature surrounding him and an aspect which always seems to amaze him. Looking at the surface of the water and seeing his own image, absorbed by the shimmering sun.
