Biography
Aïcha Snoussi was born in 1989 in Tunis. A graduate of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis and the Sorbonne University, she lives and works in Paris. From frescoes on the walls of galleries or museums to drawings on notebooks, this research is concerned with open flesh and the deconstruction of genus and species. The paper or the wall become the playground of the designer-surgeon operating in vivo, between the layers, in the strata. By recourse to fiction, to the functions of the encyclopedia and to in situ experimentation, the drawing is thought of as an operation which would attempt to tear apart things and anchored knowledge.
