Biography
Gafur Uzuner is a Turkish painter who was born in Ankara in 1959. He graduated from the faculty of painting of the Gazi University in 1980. In parallel to his work as a painter, he is also an actor in his country.
Gafur Uzuner's work is part of the figurative world. It is impregnated with mystery: the landscapes laid on the canvas by the painter seem real but they also posses a small touch of fantasy, oneirism.
In Turkey, Gafur Uzuner has been the subject of more than twenty solo and group exhibitions. The artist is also represented by a French gallery, and exhibited his work at the "Salon des Beaux-Arts" at the "Carrousel du Louvre" in 2016.
