Biography

Uta Brouet’s work includes large scale drawings, photos, prints and sculptures made out of found objects, bronze, wood, plaster and glass. Uta Brouet (b.1967 in Germany) had a career in publishing, communication and interior design before graduating from Heatherley School of Fine Art, specializing in Figurative Art.?Winner of the Heatherley Sculpture Prize in 2012, she lives and works in London.

The series of wire sculptures representing the dog developed from her experimentation to simplify the artist’s intervention, trusting the spectator to fill in the voids. These three dimensional drawings in space are the result of intensive observation in order to render the complexity and vivacity of the animal by the simplest means.
