Biography
Daniel Cook is primarily a self-taught artist. His recent and current work is focused on the loss of traditional livelihoods and the decay of the environments they once inhabited. This often converges with the interest he has always had in ancient superstitions and myths and how they can often be oddly pertinent to modern issues. He often returns to certain motifs and self-portraits for inspiration (he says, as Freud said, “I’m always available”!).
Daniel Cook has shown in several London galleries and also lives and works there.
