Biography
Espira was born in 1974 in England.
Brought up in very strict family of the Mormon Church, in the British countryside, he was educated to become a faith missionary, from a very early age.
But he gradually turned his back to religion in order to become a self-taught artist and settled in London in the early 1990's. The encounter, within his work of his visionary aestheticism and his transgressive iconography takes the spectator to a dangerous and apocalyptic world. His work is considered as an attack against contemporay culture with wild black comedy.
