Biography

With her creative roots in garden design, Monica has a passion for sculpting and painting leaves that are cast in concrete from natural leaves that would only last a season in nature, extending their presence in an artful way. Her castings are unique in the way that she sculpts the details, capturing the ruffles and vein structures and the imperfections of each leaf. Color washes and dry-brushed layers of acrylic paints make the castings come alive again and become reflections of nature in a new form.
