Biography
Dena Haden is an American fiber artist from Massachusetts who works with painting but also environmental installations. She is a graduate of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and has numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Asia, the USA, Japan and more. Recent art residencies and exhibitions include Baroque Blue 2023 with Primo Piano and at Maria Mitchell in Nantucket, MA and at the 14th Florence Biennale in Italy.
Through the intentional act of collecting, cultivating, and constructing organic materials, Dena creates moments over time to honour nature. Her works are constructed through a very slow meditative process that allows each piece to unfold, embodying an open container to hold space, light, and warmth.
