Alicia Pastiran

Artist Statement:

Alicia Pastiran began striving to turn photographs into "fine art" after her retirement from teaching high school math in 2004. With the emergence of digital the possibilities of making a photograph into an art piece became more possible and Alicia began studying and perfecting "her own" art form, thereby offering something different than just a "photo". Often hand applied brush strokes and tints are present in her work. As Alicia is a nature enthusiast most of her work is inspired by and dedicated to nature.
